I didn't realize just how long until I measured my hair a few days ago and realized that it's now more than an inch long. *squee!*
As much as I liked it closely shorn, I must admit that I love this length even more. It's just long enough to use gel to style in a couple different ways (spiked, slick, etc.), but it's also short enough that the steadily rising summer heat is easier to bear. It's nice to not have hair stuck to the back of my neck when I'm gardening or playing outdoor games.
Oh, I just realized that I didn't post last time I took it down to 5/8"! I had to get rid of the damaged blond hair that was still on my head the first time I cut it off, so I cut it just a few days after the last post. So no more damage!
Anyway, I played with color a little bit; nothing permanent, just a bit of Manic Panic, since it can't damage my hair. Since I was 'addicted' to hair dye for almost a year, coming off of the constant cycle of bleach and dye was difficult, and I gave into it a few times... However, the urge to change my hair color is gone now that my natural color has really come in! ^_^
So, here it is when I dyed it; it was pink with purple tips:
I realized the next day that I hated how it looked, so I ran out, got some cheap clarifying shampoo, and scrubbed my head with it for about a week until it all came out.
I love, love, love taking pictures in cars! There's just something about the light... Anyway, here's how it looked about two days ago:
I was wearing horrible earrings, lol. Anyway, it's over an inch now (though not by much!), and it's flipping up at the ends, which makes it look like I spent a lot of time with a bottle of gel, but there's actually nothing on my hair in the pictures. I love the cowlick going on right on my hairline. ^_^
Anyway, that's how it's going! Healthy, awesome, flippy hair.
What could be better than that? XD
